I’m new to this brand and they performed well on their first outing, a 11 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales. The only criticisms are that I thought the elastic was a touch too tight, hoping it’ll loosen and stretch over time & use. They also aren’t cheap. A good calf length and easy to wash too
Tried a lot of socks, hiking socks thick work socks and diabetic socks but these are the best without a doubt! Warm, comfortable in all weather, have dry feet at the end of a day and don’t smell!
The Alpaca socks have a soft, smooth feel to it as compared to other high end sock brands which have a more scratchy, tight feel to the skin and tend to leave leave pressure marks on the skin which is bad for circulation in the lower legs; especially when the top end of the socks are very tight and restrictive.
Only time will tell whether the Alpaca socks will maintain its soft, smooth feel with durability..
Absolutely the best alpaca socks I have tried so far. It’s seems to be more resistant (wear issues) that others I have tried. I’m a big guy and these sock withstood all day outdoor workdays without a problem.
Easy to get on and off better than my old woollen ones
